Graeme Davis, UCSF, USA
Graeme Davis, PhD is currently the Morris Hertzstein Distinguished Professor of Medicine in the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics at UCSF. Dr. Davis and his lab have helped pioneer the rapidly growing field of homeostatic plasticity using powerful forward genetics screens to discover novel cellular and molecular mechanisms responsible for the homeostatic stabilization of presynaptic neurotransmitter release and ion channel gene expression. Dr. Davis served as the chairman of the Department of Biochemistry UCSF and remains dedicated to both training and education, having co-directed the Neurobiology Course at the MBL in Woods Hole for the past seven years.
