Cell Stem Cell

Cell Stem Cell is a broad-spectrum journal that covers the entire spectrum of stem cell biology. Topics covered include embryonic stem cells, pluripotency, germline stem cells, tissue-specific stem cells, stem cell differentiation, epigenetics, stem cell genomics and systems biology, genome reprogramming, cancer stem cells, stem cell niches, stem-cell-based disease models, nuclear transfer technology, bioengineering, drug discovery, in vivo imaging of stem cells, therapeutic applications, regenerative medicine, clinical and translational insights, stem cell research policies, ethical issues, and technical or resource-based innovations. We will consider studies from any model system that provides insights into stem cell biology, and we encourage submissions on human stem cells.
Cell Stem Cell publishes research reports describing novel results of unusual significance in all areas of stem cell research. Each issue also contains a wide variety of review and analysis articles covering topics relevant to stem cell research ranging from basic biological advances to ethical, policy, and funding issues.

Molecular Cell

Molecular Cell is a companion to Cell, the leading journal of biology and the highest-impact journal in the world.

Launched in December 1997 and published monthly, Molecular Cell defines the field of molecular biology with a relatively small number of significant papers, up to 15 articles per issue. Coverage will extend from structure to human diseases, concentrating on molecular analyses. Topics that will be represented in the first issues include gene expression, RNA processing, replication, recombination and repair, structure, chaperones, receptors, signal transduction, cell cycle, and tumorigenesis.

The majority of papers published in Molecular Cell are articles in the format familiar from Cell. However, we will also publish short papers (up to 6 published pages) that make focused contributions on points of general interest. The publication schedule will be rapid: on our regular monthly schedule, publication time should average 6 weeks from acceptance.

Cell

Cell publishes findings of unusual significance in any area of experimental biology, including but not limited to cell biology, molecular biology, neuroscience, immunology, virology and microbiology, cancer, human genetics, systems biology, signaling, and disease mechanisms and therapeutics. The basic criterion for considering papers is whether the results provide significant conceptual advances into, or raise provocative questions and hypotheses regarding, an interesting and important biological question. In addition to primary research articles in four formats, Cell features review and opinion articles on recent research advances and issues of interest to its broad readership in the Leading Edge section.

Cell

Cell Reports is an open access journal from Cell Press and publishes high-quality papers across the life sciences spectrum that provide new biological insight. We publish thought-provoking, cutting-edge research in a variety of formats, including short-form Reports as well as longer-form Articles and Resources. Cell Reports is staffed with a team of passionate in-house editors who work closely with authors, reviewers, and the journal’s editorial board. http://www.cell.com/cell-reports/current

Cell Systems

Cell Systems is a broad, multidisciplinary monthly journal for outstanding research that provides, supports, or applies systems-level understanding in the life sciences and related disciplines. Manuscripts describing novel discoveries, milestone achievements, broadly useful tools or resources, or insights into the use of technology may all be appropriate. Quantitative integrative studies that reveal general principles of systems are particularly welcome.

The journal’s scope includes systems at all scales—from molecules, pathways, cells, and tissues to whole organisms, populations, and ecosystems—and a diversity of traditional disciplines, including but not limited to microbiology, cancer, immunology, plant biology, computational biology, genomics, proteomics, translational medicine, digital healthcare, biological engineering, and systems and synthetic biology.

In addition to peer-reviewed research, Cell Systems publishes Reviews, Previews, and Commentaries covering research topics and broader societal issues related to the scope of the journal. Through services that rise to the challenges inherent in quantitative system-scale studies, the journal aims to publish and facilitate research for our communities of readers and authors.

Trends in Biotechnology

Trends in Biotechnology is unique in drawing together a wide readership of scientists and engineers from the many disciplines of the applied biosciences. As in the successful biotechnology companies and leading academic research groups, Trends in Biotechnology reflects the view that biotechnology is the integrated use of many biological technologies – from molecular genetics to biochemical engineering. This integration is essential for the effective translation of novel research into application. The journal addresses what is new, significant and practicable.

Its successful blend of articles has made Trends in Biotechnology one of the most highly regarded and highly cited review journals in the field.

Our audience includes all biotechnologists who take an integrated, multidisciplinary approach to the applied biosciences. We hope our content will be of particular interest to industrial or academic scientists active in R&D in molecular biotechnology, gene transfer and expression, applied microbiology, environmental biotechnology, biofuels and bioenergy, nanotechnology, bioprocessing, chemical biotechnology, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, nucleic acid therapeutics and vaccines, plant biotechnology, and patenting and regulatory issues.
