Martin Gibala is a professor and chair of the Department of Kinesiology at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. He studies the impact of exercise on human health and performance from an integrative perspective. Gibala’s research on the physiological and health benefits of interval training has attracted immense scientific attention and worldwide media coverage. His first book, a knowledge translation effort entitled “The One-Minute Workout”, was published earlier this year by Penguin Random House.
