Anthony Rosenzweig is the Chief of Cardiology and Co-Director of the Corrigan-Minehan Heart Center at the Massachusetts General Hospital, and the Paul Dudley White Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Rosenzweig’s research has focused on uncovering new mechanisms and targets in common cardiovascular diseases, particularly heart failure and ischemic injury. A growing interest in the laboratory has been understanding the cardiovascular benefits of exercise as a way of identifying cardioprotective pathways that complement lessons learned from studies of disease. These studies have further reinforced Dr. Rosenzweig’s enthusiasm for exercise, which unfortunately greatly exceeds his athletic talent.
