Uwe Sauer

As a trained microbiologist, Uwe’s research as a PI and since 2006 as a professor for systems biology at the ETH Zurich focuses on identifying and quantifying the key regulation mechanisms that control cellular metabolism in microbes. His lab combines computational modeling with quantitative experimentation, in particular mass spectrometry-based methods for 13C-flux analysis and high-throughput metabolomics. His main focus is presently on regulatory metabolite-protein interactions.
