Jason Cyster is a Professor at the University of California, San Francisco and an Investigator of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Cyster is an Immunologist recognized for his work on the cues guiding immune cell movements and for defining the mechanism of lymphocyte egress from tissues. He is known for his use of 2-photon microscopy to study cell migration dynamics during immune responses. Cyster was born in Australia and after completing a B.Sc. at UWA he performed his D.Phil. with Alan Williams at the University of Oxford. He was a postdoctoral fellow with Christopher Goodnow at Stanford and he joined the UCSF faculty in 1995. Click here to view information about the lab.
