Dr. Carter Van Waes received a B.A. in Chemistry, from Earlham College, and an M.D. and Ph.D. in Immunology from University of Chicago. He completed a NIH post-doctoral fellowship, and residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, at University of Michigan. He is Senior Investigator and Chief of the Head and Neck Surgery Branch, NIDCD, National Institutes of Health. His research integrates basic and clinical investigation of genomics, signaling, molecular, and immune targeted therapy of cancer.
