Caryn Navarro

Caryn Navarro is the editor of Trends in Genetics, a reviews journal at Cell Press. She earned her BS in Biochemistry from Indiana University and PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Connecticut, where she studied the molecular mechanism of acetaminophen toxicity. As post-doctoral fellow with Ruth Lehmann at the Skirball Insitute/NYU Medical Center and then in her own lab at Boston University School of Medicine she studied the role of microtubule motor proteins and the piRNA pathway in cell differentiation and polarity establishment. She joined Cell Press at the end of 2015.
