Shu-hong Yu

Shu-Hong Yu completed PhD in inorganic chemistry in 1998 from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). He was appointed as a full professor in 2002 at USTC, and the Cheung Kong Professorship in 2006. He was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2019. Currently, he is the Director of the Institute of Innovative Materials, Southern University of Science and Technology. He serves as the Editor-in-Chiefs of Mater. Chem. Front., The Innovation Materials, and is also on the editorial board or advisory board of journals Advanced Materials, Nano Letters, Matter, Natl. Sci. Rev., Materials Horizons. His research interests include bio-inspired synthesis of inorganic nanostructures, nanocomposites, sustainable structural materials and their applications. His research work has been cited more than 77,460 citations (H index 156). He has won the Second Prize of National Natural Science twice in the years of 2010 and 2016, the Outstanding Scientific and Technological Achievement Award of the CAS in 2021, and National Innovation Medal in 2020.
