Liping Wen

Dr. Liping Wen is a professor at the Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, CAS (TIPCCAS). He received his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the Institute of Chemistry, CAS, under the supervision of Prof. Lei Jiang. In 2011, he joined the Tokyo Institute of Technology as a visiting scholar. In 2015, he moved to TIPCCAS and became a professor in 2016. His current scientific interests focus on designing bioinspired nano-/microchannels materials and their application in energy conversion, ion separation and enrichment (such as, Li, UO2 etc.), heavy element removal, and biosensing, etc. He has published ~170 papers on Science, Nat. Sustain., Nat. Commun., Sci. Adv., PNAS, Adv. Mater., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Matter, etc. He has been granted the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholar, selected in the National Ten Thousands Plan, appointed as the associate editors of the NPG Asia Materials.
