Judith Zaugg

Judith Zaugg, heads the Systems Epigenetics group at EMBL (Germany) and co-heads the Stem Cell-Niche Networks group at the Molecular Medicine Partnership Unit (MMPU). She uses systems biology and (single cell) multiomics to study how cells integrate genetic, epigenetics and extrinsic signals, and how these layers converge onto complex phenotypes. Specific systems of interest are immune cells, and the stem cells populations within the hematopoietic niche. She was recently granted the prestigious ERC consolidator award.

Judith serves on scientific advisory boards of the Nordic Centre of Molecular Medicine, the Hungarian Centre of Excellence in Molecular Medicine, and the journal Molecular Systems Biology (EMBO press).
