D. Corella is a full professor of preventive medicine and public health at the School of Medicine of the University of Valencia and principal investigator of the CIBER Physiopathology of Obesity and Nutrition. She has strong expertise in conducting epidemiological studies and integrating omics into the traditional epidemiological research of cardiometabolic diseases. Among the different lifestyle factors, she focused on diet, particularly the Mediterranean diet. She is currently focusing her research on the integration of different omics (genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, and metabolomics) in different aging phenotypes and biomarkers as well as on the improvement of epidemiological interventions to reverse accelerated aging.
