Morten Scheibye-Knudsen

Morten Scheibye-Knudsen, MD, PhD, is an associate professor at the University of Copenhagen. He combines computational approaches and wet lab science to investigate the molecular basis of aging and to develop interventions allowing us to live longer and healthier lives. He has developed methods to quantify senescent cells, how our NAD levels impact aging and cellular damage and how we can treat aging to live healthier and longer lives. Outside of his scientific approaches he organizes the yearly Aging Research and Drug Discovery conference; is the Chief Scientific Officer of the Healhty Longevity Clinic, act as a chief editor at Frontiers in Aging; and serve as the president of the Nordic Aging Society. He is an elected member of the Academy for Health- and Lifespan Research.
