Supporting Cell Press journals

Cell Metabolism publishes reports of novel results in any area of metabolic biology, from molecular and cellular biology to translational studies. The unifying theme is homeostatic mechanisms in health and disease, from simpler model systems all the way to the clinic. Published work should not only be of exceptional significance within its field, but also of interest to researchers outside the immediate area. Cell Metabolism also provides expert analysis and commentary on key findings in the field. The journal's mission is to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and concepts across the entire metabolic research community, cultivating new areas and fostering cross-disciplinary collaborations in basic research and clinical investigation.

Cell remains at the forefront of exciting developments in biology, continually redefining the important areas of science with cutting edge papers.
Published biweekly, Cell includes original research articles of exceptional significance in areas including molecular biology, biochemistry, cancer research, cell biology, developmental biology, genetics, immunology, microbiology, neurobiology, plant biology, structural biology and virology.

Neuron has established itself as one of the most influential and relied upon journals in the field of neuroscience. The editors embrace interdisciplinary strategies that integrate biophysical, cellular, developmental, and molecular approaches with a systems approach to sensory, motor, and higher-order cognitive functions. Neuron serves as one of the premier intellectual forums of the entire neuroscience community.

Trends in Immunology plays an essential role in monitoring advances in the various fields of immunology, bringing together the results in a readable and lucid form. The backbone of each issue is a series of succinct reviews and hypothesis-driven viewpoints. Together with the other sections of the magazine they give the reader a complete picture of the diverse field of immunology.

Immunity publishes the most important advances in immunology research. We welcome studies that provide fundamental new immunological insights at the molecular, cellular, or whole organism level. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, cancer, infectious disease, neuroimmunology, autoimmune disease, allergy, mucosal immunity, metabolic disease, and homeostasis.

Trends in Endocrinology and Metabolism is a leading Reviews journal in the fields of metabolism and endocrinology. We publish rigorous, forward-looking, and engaging articles that span the range from cellular bioenergetics to whole-body physiology. You can read about recent advances in timely areas like cardiometabolic disorders, endocrine diseases, molecular and cellular biology, circadian and exercise physiology, immunometabolism, cancer metabolism, and host-microbiome metabolic homeostasis, as well as articles on the societal dimension of metabolic and endocrine research.

Trends in Molecular Medicine’s objective is to provide concise and contextualized views on the latest research moving biomedical science closer to improved diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of human diseases. As such, TMM is dedicated to research disciplines at the interface between basic biology and clinical research. Articles cover new concepts in mechanisms of human biology and pathology with clear implications for diagnostics and therapy. Bridging “bench and bedside”, reviews published in TMM have clear implications for human health and disease and discuss not only preclinical studies but also research conducted on patient samples, first-in-man studies, and patient-enrolled trials.

Cell Reports publishes high-quality research across the life sciences. The primary criterion for publication in Cell Reports is new biological insight. We have three primary article types. Reports are shorter, single-point articles; research articles are the longer format for work with deeper mechanistic insight; and resources highlight significant technical advances or major informational datasets that are used to show a biological advance. Reviews covering recent literature in emerging and active fields are also welcome.
The professional in-house editors of Cell Reports work closely with authors, reviewers, and the journal's scientific advisory board. The advisory board comprises current and future leaders in their respective fields who guide the journal’s scope, content, and quality. However, editorial decisions at Cell Reorts are made independently by its in-house scientific editors.
