Dr. Riddell is a Member at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research, Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Washington, and Distinguished Affiliate Professor at the Technical University of Munich. His research focuses on the contributions of T cell subsets to protective immunity to pathogens and tumors and on the development and clinical application of adoptive T cell therapy for cancer using unmodified and genetically modified antigen-specific T cells of defined compositions. The work encompasses the discovery of target antigens and designing synthetic tumor targeting receptors for genetic modification of therapeutic T cells.
