Theodore Alexandrov is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Pharmacology and Bioengineering at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). Previously, he was a Team Leader at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL). At UCSD, Theodore Alexandrov leads creation of cutting-edge technologies for spatial and single-cell metabolomics (https://ateam.ucsd.edu). Among their notable developments are METASPACE, a cloud software platform for spatial metabolomics used by thousands of scientists worldwide, and SpaceM, 13C-SpaceM, and HT SpaceM, a family of methods for single-cell metabolomics which can probe metabolism with the single-cell resolution.
