Ralph DeBerardinis

Ralph DeBerardinis, M.D., Ph.D. is a medical geneticist and physician-scientist in the Children’s Research Institute at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (CRI). He serves as Chief of Pediatric Genetics and Metabolism and Director of the Genetic and Metabolic Disease Program in the CRI. The DeBerardinis laboratory studies the role of altered metabolic states in human diseases, particularly pediatric inborn errors of metabolism and cancer. Dr. DeBerardinis received an Outstanding Investigator Award from the National Cancer Institute in 2017 and was named an Investigator of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in 2018.
