Qiufu Ma, Westlake University, China

Dr. Ma received his bachelor's degree from Fudan University in 1987 and his Ph.D. degree from UCLA in 1994. In 1998, he completed postdoctoral training at Caltech. In 1999, he became an assistant professor at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Department of Neurobiology, Harvard Medical School. He became a full professor in 2011. In 2022, he became the chair professor of neurobiology, Westlake University. His lab has been working on the somatosensory system, first on neural development, then on spinal circuit mapping, and recently on the neuroanatomical basis behind acupuncture practice.
