Bernadett Gaál, Editor-in-chief Cell Systems
Bernadett obtained her BSc in Biology from the University of York in the UK and her DPhil in Systems Biology from the University of Oxford. She then worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University College London Cancer Institute. Her research explored the sources and functional consequences of cellular noise in embryonic stem cells and the evolution of dynamic population heterogeneity in microbes. She was an editor of Nature Communications before joining Cell Systems as Scientific editor in 2020 and has been serving as Editor-in-Chief since 2022.
