Vjekoslav Dekaris, Editor-in-chief, Chem
Vj studied chemistry and earned a PhD in organic synthesis at Freie Universität Berlin and did postdoctoral research at City University of New York and Princeton University in chemical biology. He commenced his professional career by working on the chemistry data and literature solution Reaxys. In 2016, he joined the Chem team as one of the inaugural scientific editors and mainly handles synthesis and catalysis, chemical biology, and polymer chemistry manuscripts. He became editor-in-chief in 2025.

Xiaoxiao Qiao, Scientific editor, Chem Catalysis
Xiaoxiao earned her PhD in materials and organic chemistry from Indiana University in 2016. She then moved to Argonne National Laboratory and Los Alamos National Laboratory for postdoctoral studies on the applications of catalysts in Li-air batteries, fuel cells, and water electrolyzers. She joined Chem Catalysis in January 2022 and is based in Cambridge, MA. She specializes in organic and organometallic chemistry, homogenous catalysis, and their applications.
