Cell Symposia: The Neuro-Immune Axis
September 11–13, 2022 | Altis Grand Hotel, Lisbon, Portugal

Before travelling to the conference, please familiarise yourself with the Covid-19 requirements for Portugal which Elsevier will be following. The current country guidelines can be found here. We still request that anyone who has tested positive for Covid-19, or is under any self-quarantine orders does not attend the conference.

Building on the collaborative research and discussions that were at the center of the 2017 and 2019 meetings, the goal of this symposium is to explore the interface between the nervous and immune systems during development, homeostasis, and disease. The meeting will examine the mediators, mechanisms, and implications of neuro-immune crosstalk in the central and peripheral nervous systems. It will also cover emerging areas such as neuro-immune interactions in plasticity within the brain, complex social behaviors and cancers. This meeting will bring together researchers from across the fields of neuroscience and immunology to facilitate discussion of exciting new concepts and developments in both fields.

Topics:

  • Development, synapses, and behavior
  • The Gut-Brain connection
  • Infection and Inflammation
  • Intestinal neuroimmune interactions
  • Neuro-immune crosstalk in cancer
