Dale Dorsett

Dale Dorsett received a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Tennessee-Oak Ridge National Laboratory in 1980. He conducted postdoctoral research in molecular virology at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel and then in Drosophila molecular genetics at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA. He joined the faculty of Sloan-Kettering Institute in New York City in 1987 and was appointed Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Saint Louis University in 2000. His research focuses on the roles of sister chromatid cohesion and Polycomb group proteins in developmental gene regulation in Drosophila.
