Find out why Cell Press Editors are excited about Hallmarks of aging
Aging is associated with loss of function and increased susceptibility to disease, making it the greatest contributor to the onset of most chronic diseases including diabetes, cancer, and neurodegeneration. This conference will explore the most recent advances in the molecular and cellular hallmarks of aging, placing these into the context of how they influence aging and thus disease at the organ, tissue, and organismal level. We aim to bring together scientists approaching aging from varied perspectives with the goal to better understand biological aging, exploring possibilities that would lead to deceleration or reversal of aging and to improvements in resilience for greater healthy aging for all.
Topics of the meeting will include:
- Hallmarks of aging
- Metabolism and aging
- Disease of aging
- Gerotechnology
- Gerotherapeutics
